Rebar Berwary
TeacherAbout Sis. Rebar
Rebar Berwary was born and raised in Kurdistan, where I developed a love for reading and teaching the Quran. I graduated from Duhok University in 2001 and worked as a mentor in a Kurdish charity organization, supporting orphan children and their families emotionally and financially while teaching them to read the Quran. From 2001 to 2010, I taught Kurdish language at various high schools across Kurdistan, gaining valuable experience in fostering students’ self-confidence and professional success.
After moving to the United States in 2010, I taught the Quran at the Salahadeen Center of Nashville a few years. I work part-time as a Kurdish language instructor at NSCC and full-time as an assistant teacher at Paragon Mills Elementary School. In my free time, I earned a certificate in tajweed from the Iqra’ Institute online. Throughout my teaching career, I have gained extensive insights and numerous memorable moments, always striving to help students succeed and build strong relationships with Allah. Inshallah, with Iqra, we plan to continue this mission.
